Wild Rose

This image depicts a flower from a Rosehip plant. This is a very common plant in interior Alaska. The flowers bloom in late to early June and make for a very attractive wildflower setting. The petals are used to make jelly or tea and the fruit is used to make jam.  This flower was photographed near Moon Lake approximately 20 miles north of Tok, Alaska
