Alaska Bluebell

This is a close up of an Alaska Bluebell. This plant has many stems, 18 to 30” tall, with hairy, dark green leaves that are broad at the base and taper to a point. The flowers are tubular and sometimes pink in color. This is an edible plant although somewhat fishy tasting. This plant is found throughout most of Alaska except Southeastern and north of the Brooks Range.
