Airplane flying over mountains

Forget me not

The Alpine Forget-Me-Not is Alaska’s State flower. This gorgeous, delicate plant has a long stem with blue flowers clustered at the top. It usually grows from 6 to 15 inches tall. They are also very large stemmed. The five petals on each flower are symmetrical and are usually light blue with a yellow circle and a white dot in the center. They look very exquisite when in bloom. Mostly they grow in Alpine and Sub-Alpine areas except in Southeastern and the Yukon River drainage.
